Linda (Mutchler) Geer entered into eternal peace on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. There will be open viewing without the family present on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Hospital or the American Diabetes Association in Linda's memory. Social distancing guidelines remain in effect for the viewing and funeral service. On March 21, 1950 a daughter, Linda Carol was born to Tully and Mabel (Cummins) Mutchler at the Hand Hospital in Shenandoah, Iowa. Linda entered into eternal peace on August 16, 2020 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. A heavenly reunion was held with her beloved Gary. Linda grew up in Shenandoah where she attended school. She graduated from Shenandoah High School with the Class of 1968. She later attended Iowa Western Community College. ff and Jill. Linda worked at Brenton Grocery, A&W, Dairy Queen, as a cook at the Essex Childcare Center and as a Certified Nurses Aide at Garden View Care Center until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed taking care of people of all ages and was very good at her job! Some of her hobbies included reading, watching Netflix, face-timing her grandchildren and pampering her cat. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gary on January 9, 2014. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Jeff Geer of Gilbert, IA and Jill Vasquez and husband Mark of Boone, IA; grandchildren Jacob of Seattle, WA, Emily of Des Moines, IA and Becca of Los Angeles, CA; brother Tom Mutchler of Shenandoah; sister Vickie Walters of Red Oak, IA; other family and dear friends.
