Donna Rae Wingert

Donna R. Wingert, 88, of Fort Dodge passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Villa Care Center.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. A visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home.

Donna is survived by her children, Randy (Teri) Wingert and Kevin (Sarah) Wingert all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren Joy (Ray) Wright, of West Des Moines, Kyle (Jessica) Estlund of Bettendorf, Andrea Wingert of Boone, Heather Leadley, of Otho, Nicole Wingert of Fort Dodge, and Kelby Wingert of Otho; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Velma (Lehman) Latham; her husband of 45 years Francis Wingert in 2007, brother Ed Latham in 2019, and great-great-granddaughter Peyton.

Donna Rae Latham was born September 23, 1931 in Fort Dodge. She attended school in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1950. sed their two sons. Donna was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge and enjoyed sipping coffee and chatting in the commons between services for many years. Donna worked for Central Telephone Company and later, Dr. Don Bock for 20 years. She retired in 1996 after working for Dr. John Calisesi for 12 years.
Donna loved being outdoors, especially camping with family at "Wingert Acres" and Kennedy Park. She spent many hours over the years with friends and family around the table, playing cards and Rummikub.
