Obituary of Joseph Arthur Maurice Courtemanche Maurice Courtemanche of Pittsford passed away on September 8, 2020 at age 98. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen, sister Yvonne (Evie) Lynch, brothers Roland and Lionel. Survived by his children Nancy Martin Bock (Richard), Gail Courtemanche (Robert Romanow), Susan Dailey (Kevin), Laura Teall, Gregg Courtemanche (Allie), brother Clarence, grandchildren: Scott Martin, Laurie Feinberg, Andrea Walsh, Kelly Grenzer, Molly, Miranda, and Zachary Courtemanche, great grandchildren: Katie and Anna Walsh, Tanner and Davis Grenzer, sisters-in-law Millie Courtemanche, Rosemary Oesterly, Cathy Connaughton, and brother-in-law Raymond Gendron, many nieces and nephews. Maurice (also known as Court or Moe) was born in Fitchburg, MA. in 1922. At age 7 his family moved to East Rochester for his father to accept a job at The Piano Works. Maurice attended Rochester Business Institute before serving in the Army Ambulance Corp during World War II. He married Helen Connaughton, the love of his life, and they raised their five children on a quiet street in Pittsford, NY. here brothers Clarence and Roland lived. Maurice loved his time spent with family. Some of his enjoyments: playing golf, cards with his brothers, Croquet, watching baseball and football--and eating corn.
