Melissa Ann Rine

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Melissa Ann (Holzapfel) Rine, loving wife and mother of two children, died at the age of 48. Melissa was born on July 22, 1972 in Omaha, NE to Mike and Peggy (Minturn) Holzapfel. She attended St Philip Neri Elementary until the 8th grade and graduated from Bellevue Christian High School. She was a practicing CNA for many years. On April 17, 2009 she married Dennis Rine. They have two sons, Aiden and Jordan. Melissa had a passion for faith, family, and Nebraska football. On occasion, she enjoyed playing Candy Crush, when she wasn't chasing down her two boys, or an occasional girl's night out with friends. Her passion for a relationship with Jesus took her on mission trips; and most days of her life were spent discussing our Savior's great character and the paradise she is now truly living in. She was known for her quick wit (especially with God's Word), her infectious laugh, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
