Barbara Ann Kowalski Loving wife, mother, Nana and sister, Barbara Ann Kowalski(nee Dufour) of Warren, formerly of Sterling Heights, died peacefully, Monday, September 21, 2020. She was 83. Born July 19, 1937, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Emelda (nee Teno) and Orville Dufour, Barbara graduated from St. Benedict Catholic High School in Highland Park, where she was in the top of her class. She married George C. Kowalski on July 28, 1956, and they raised two children together. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Warren. Barbara was a homemaker most of her life, but did work part-time for Sears at Oakland Mall, Troy, during her early retirement years. Barbara is survived by her loving children, Randall Kowalski (Lisa), and Cheryl Kreuter (Michael). She was a very proud and loving Nana to grandchildren, Laurel and Brandon Kreuter. She also is survived by her loving sisters, Joyce Vincent (late William) and Marlene Marvin (late Peter), sister-in-laws, Phyllis Stukel, Shirley Bracco, Barbara Perkola, Donna Kowalski(Theodore) and Carol Kowalski(Robert), as well as many special nieces and nephews from all over the country. arbara was predeceased by her husband, George(2003), sister-in-laws Delores and Helen, and brother-in-laws William, Peter, Joseph, Roman, Chester, Leonard, Frank, Robert, Edward, Theodore, and Clarence. Due to Covid restrictions, a private immediate family graveside service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, with a Memorial Service to be celebrated at a future date.
