Joyce A. Cantu

Mrs. Joyce Ann Cantu, age 83, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 27, 2020. She was born in Muskegon on April 27, 1937 to Leslie and Vivian (Veitenheimer) Peterson. On January 27, 1962, Joyce married John Cantu and they have enjoyed 58 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband John; five children, John Cantu, Jr., Joseph Cantu, James Cantu, Janice Cantu, Jennifer (Ken) Schultz; six grandchildren, Hunter, Joey, Lauren, Alex, Alina, and Anah; two great-grandchildren, Nate and Layla; many family and friends; special friend and sister-in-law, Chris Cantu; and her faithful "therapy cat", Foster. Joyce will leave a legacy of making people feel good and welcome. She had a special way about her that could always bring a smile to your face and make you happy. She wore many hats (literally and figuratively) and had some fun nicknames: Moes, Lucy, and Crazy Lady Pantyhose to name a few.
