Annette Smuin Smith

Ms. Annette Smuin / Smith passed to the other side peacefully on September 10th, 2017. Annette was born to Robert Lyle Smuin and Nora Jane MacKnight in Vernal Utah on December 14th 1957. She was preceded in death by her first born son Roy Clifford Morgan, Brother Gilbert (Gib) Smuin, Sister Janet Faye Stills (Smuin), Mother Nora Jane Redfield, Father Robert Lyle Smuin, and the late love of her life Dave Clyde Cook. She is survived by her five daughters Hannah Josephine Kunkel (Michel), Sara Jane Jackson (Michel), Kenna Lauren Michel, Ivie Mae Phillips (Gunderson), Angela Brooke Gunderson, Son in laws, 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. She is also survived by her Brother Robert Kerry Smuin and Sister Tracy Lee MacKnight. Annie was a long time resident of the Uintah Basin. She resided in Manila Utah for many years becoming a beloved member of the community. Annette was loved by many and will be remembered for her love of fine cooking. She was employed at the Mustang (HUB) in Manila for nearly seventeen years. In the off season she worked as a flagger on road construction but enjoyed most of all working for UDOT. k hunting, and camping. Most of all she loved being with family. Her love of animals was abundant, she took in every stray cat or dog and gave them a loving home. She was generous to everyone she knew, always lived a simple life and was content to do so.A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday September 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Manila, Utah held at the Mustang/ HUB. All those who wish to honor her life are welcome to attend. Cremation services provided by Phillips Basin Cremation Center. The cremation ashes will be interned next to her first born son Roy Clifford Morgan in the Jensen, Utah Cemetery at 3 p.m. that evening following the memorial.
