David A. Hunter, age 63, of Quincy, died on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 4:06 pm in Blessing Hospital.
David was born October 13, 1957 in Washington D.C. David was a 1976 graduate of Quincy High School. He was employed at the Illinois School Supply. He was also a self-employed contract and owner of Hunter Construction.
David loved his vegetable garden and always shared his bounty with everyone. He was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed fantasy football and the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Survivors include his mother, Joyce Koch Hunter of Quincy; four siblings, Carol Marszalek of Bradenton, FL, Rose Deckard of Plano, TX, Daniel Hunter of Quincy, and Julie (Jeff) Wiemelt of Quincy; two nephews, Wade and Justin Deckard; a great-niece and a great-nephew, Jaxon and Hannah Jane Deckard; aunts, uncles and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Service: A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Arisman officiating.
