veness in hospital ministry led to his being hired as a part-time, then full-time chaplain. Troy retired as Chief of Chaplains for the hospital after 25 years of ministry. Following his retirement, Troy & Corrine moved to Carrollton, Texas to take care of their son, Corwin, who was battling cancer. Following Corwin's death, Troy and Corrine moved to Austin to be closer to their son, Bryan. They enjoyed being members of Woodlawn Baptist Church where their son, Bryan, serves as Student Pastor. Throughout his life, Troy was known for his genuine love for and interest in people along with his desire for each person to know Jesus personally. A celebration of Troy's life will be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church (4600 Menchaca Road, Austin, TX 78745) at 10 am on Monday, November 9. Everyone attending is asked to wear masks and observe physical distancing. A private burial will follow.
