beneficial for his care in retirement. Clinton felt very fortunate to have all of his children living in Kossuth County. Clinton obtained his real estate and private pilot license. He served for 21 years as a director for Heartland Mutual Insurance Association. He also enjoyed crop touring and taking short flights here and there with his family. Clinton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church in Wesley, where he remained a member until its closing in 2011. He served as a past trustee of the United Methodist Church and was an instrumental board member in the founding of the Wesley Community Church. His church family was very important to him. In 1998, he and Cherann moved to Algona and passed the home place on to the next generation. He did continue to visit the farm daily and enjoyed checking in and lending a hand whenever needed. He also enjoyed supporting his children's activities and was always good for advice. He is survived by his wife Cherann and four children, Bonita Meyer, Kristi Eden, Gregory Eden, and Dwayne Eden and their families as well as two sisters, Sharon Valentine and Ardith Thorson; extended step family, many nieces and nephews and his church family. He was preceeded in death by his parents Bennie and Ella; and parents-in-law, August and Dorothy Bernau.
