Bret Mendonca

Mendonca, Bret, 48, of Taunton, MA, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, after a brave fight with cancer, with his family by his side. Born in Stoughton, MA on February 17, 1972, he was the loving son of Edward Mendonca (Jean) of Carver, MA and the late Linda Gregory, as well as the beloved step-brother of Melanie LaCroix of Fall River, MA. In addition, Bret is survived by his aunts: Ann Mendonca (Michael) of Taunton, MA, Deborah Johnson of Wareham, MA, and Lisa Perry Rego of Portsmouth, RI; and his uncles: Michael Mendonca of Taunton, MA and Paul Perry of Braintree, MA. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, with whom he shared close family ties. He was sadly predeceased by a number of family members, including dear aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bret was well known for his strong work ethic, most recently working at the Off Broadway Diner in Taunton, until illness forced him to stop. Always willing to help out someone in need, Bret will be remembered for his honesty, integrity and kindness, and his generosity towards others.
