Pharmacy before accepting her first job as a Pharmacist at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Florida would become her new home where she built a life filled with friends that were like her family; and she was relieved to never have to shovel snow again. She had a spark of entrepreneurship and founded AMP (Advanced Pharmaceutical Management) Inc., a home infusion business which was later purchased by a home healthcare corporation. In 1985, Harriet met Marc Manis and they married March 22, 1987. They were nothing if not devoted to each other. Harriet and Marc were longstanding members of Congregation of Reform Judaism and served in many capacities. She would lead services and read from the Torah and Marc would serve as Cantor and sing adding great beauty to the services. In 2013 she earned her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Florida and held Pharmacy licenses in 17 states. Harriet worked as a consulting Pharmacist until her passing. Services are limited and will be held Tuesday, December 1, 11:00 am at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734. She will be missed by her family and many friends, but especially Marc. Harriet was a two time cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or to their Congregation: Beth Chaim Reform Synagogue in Oviedo, FL in Harriet's memory. The family of Harriet Manis invites you to leave a message of condolence on the Tribute Wall created in her memory.
