Kimberly Sue Forbes

Kimberly Sue Forbes, 47, of Chatfield passed away Monday, November 30, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Hospitals, St. Mary's Campus, following a sudden illness. Kim was born July 24, 1973 in Rochester to Darwin and Carol (Sass) Buss and went to school in Chatfield. Kim and Corey Forbes were married May 20, 2000 and spent almost 28 wonderful years together. As a child she 'rode the rails' with her dad when he worked on the railroad. She was "Daddy's little boy" growing up. Kim enjoyed making crafts and collecting her treasures. She was a fast talker, who told Corey to "listen faster", when he said she was talking too fast. Kim loved to be with family and making sure she talked with her mom and daughter every day. She was the CEO of the Forbes' residence, serving as boss and head chef. Anyone that knew Kim and Corey knew that they were the richest people in the world because of their love for each other. A public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles. In accordance with current restrictions, Kim's family will not be present in the visitation. Social distancing and face masks are required. A Celebration of Life will be planned for the spring.
