Obituary Gwendolyn Bernice McCutcheon 1946-2020 Gwendolyn B. McCutcheon, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles C. Davis officiating. Face masks will be required. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Waddell's Riverside Funeral Directors. Gwendolyn was born the oldest daughter to Virginia and James D. McCutcheon on March 5, 1946 in Houston, Texas. She was the sister of Tommy Seals, James D. McCutcheon, Jr., and Marva Elaine Jones. Gwendolyn is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and the University of Texas, Health Science Center at Houston, School of Nursing. She was a dedicated registered nurse, working at Houston Methodist Hospital for more than thirty years. Gwendolyn lit up the room with her bright smile and joyful laugh. She had a heart full of kindness, enjoying memories with close friends that felt like family. She loved shopping and all things that sparkle. yn is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia McCutcheon, her father, James D. McCutcheon, her brother, Tommy Seals and her son, Christopher Dale McCutcheon, Sr. She is survived by her brother, James D. McCutcheon, Jr., and her sister, Marva Elaine Jones. Gwendolyn is also survived by her children Rachelle Cne' McCutcheon, Ann-Elise and Joel Richards, III, her grandchildren, Bianca Young, Laila Richards, Lauren Richards, Joel Richards, IV, Christopher McCutcheon, Jr., Christian McCutcheon, Christina McCutcheon, Michael Newton, T'Earl Mattox, Charleston Forney, and extended family.
