Kathryn Elaine Hopkins

Kathryn Elaine (Johnson) Hopkins of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2020 at the age of 95. She was born on June 30,1925 in Thor, Iowa, to Thomas and Gladys (Lonning) Johnson. She was married to Darwin D. Hopkins on February 4, 1944, who took her hand and held her hand through 76 years of marriage. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband and children, Dr. Dennis (Sue) of Ankeny, Iowa, Dr. David (Lyn) of Dysart, Iowa, and Debra Coole (Cary) of Houston, TX. She was a wonderful grandmother to five, Rob, Nate, Kyle, Kelly and Clarke and great grandmother to eight. She loved and appreciated her special nieces and nephews. Kay had many joys of her life. She was proud of her 100% Norwegian heritage and loved visiting her family in Norway. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star. A classy lady that enjoyed participating in many social activities that included modeling for several fashion boutiques in Fort Dodge. Most of all...
