FUNERAL SERVICE LIVESTREAM LINK https://vimeo.com/491816060 Rosemary Ariel Shores Haws passed away on December 13, 2020. She was born July 19, 1941 in Goodland, Kansas to Varo and Reba Shores. She had two brothers, Joy and Varo Jr. and one sister, Corona. She was baptized when she was 8 years old by her father, an ordained minister and school teacher. Rosemary graduated from Goodland High School in 1959. She attended Kansas State University for one year. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1960. She was working as a waitress in a restaurant when she met Hollis Haws. He was stationed at Peterson Air Force Base. They were married in Goodland, Kansas on December 23, 1962. They had a son, Terry, and a daughter, Reba. Rosemary and Hollis moved many times during their time in the U.S. Air Force. From Colorado they moved to Texas, then Japan. Terry and Reba were both born in Japan. They returned stateside to Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. Rosemary and the children went home to Kansas while Hollis was assigned to Taiwan. irement from the U.S. Air Force in 1974, they moved to Vernal, Utah. Hollis and Rosemary enjoyed belonging to a bowling league for a time. Rosemary enjoyed crocheting. She worked as a night hostess at JB's Restaurant when she moved to Vernal. Rosemary went back to school and attended Uintah Basin Area Vocational Center in Roosevelt. She earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree in 1977. She worked in doctor's offices for a few years. Later on she worked in the shipping and receiving area at Basin Auto. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rosemary is survived by her husband, Hollis Haws; children: Terry (Sandy) Haws, Moses Lake, WA; Reba Haws, Vernal, UT; daughter-in-law, Shelly Parker, Ogden, UT; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Irvin Haws, Vernal, UT; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Varo Jr and Joy, sister, Corona, and stepson Michael Parker. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:00a.m. No public viewing will be held. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
