Augusta, GA - Mr. John C. Utz, 87, entered into rest December 17, 2020. A Memorial Service at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church will be scheduled at a later date. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, Pa. Much loved husband to Janet Ann Utz; much loved father to Janet L. Utz, MD of Aiken SC/Augusta GA and John C. Utz, Jr of Naples FL; and much-loved grandfather to Jordan Rose Parker and Lathan Douglas Parker of Aiken SC/Augusta GA. He would tell anyone who reads this (or who knew him well), "Always read the instructions first" and, that "You can do anything you set your mind to." He would remind you that, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." He would tell you to remain faithful to your family and friends. And he would tell you that "Real Men" follow God and can even learn to change diapers at 72 or quit smoking at 65.
