Nancy Jo Burk, 81, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at home. Nancy was born in Mereta,
Texas on Sept. 5, 1939, to Miles and Juliet Tinkler. Nancy owned a drapery business for years
before working for the Shannon Hospital system before her retirement in 2005. A devoted
mother and a loving Gram, Nancy loved her family above all else. She also loved classic
Westerns, baking, and a good cup of coffee. Nancy will be truly missed. Nancy was preceded in
death by both her parents. She is survived by both her children, including Allison Ward and her
husband Hugh Ward, and her granddaughters Kendall and Mackenzie Young. She is also
survived by her brother Larry Tinkler and his wife Cherrie, and her other brother Harry Tinkler,
and many nieces and nephews. Nancy's family would like to thank Envoy Hospice, Distinctive
Life Memorial, and all of Nancy's doctors who gave us sixteen beautiful years with her following
