FUNERAL LIVESTREAM LINK: https://vimeo.com/494988804 Kent Bristol concluded his earthly mission on Thursday December 24, 2020 at the age of 51 after a year long battle with cancer. Bruce Kent Bristol was born to Bruce Wayne Bristol and Mildred Darleen Morrill Bristol on September 20, 1969. He and his family moved from West Jordan to Vernal as he began school. His parents taught him at a young age to work long and hard for the things he wanted. Growing up, he enjoyed taking care of animals, camping, sword fighting, and participating in SCA Middle Age Reenactment Wars. In high school, Kent fell in love with his high school sweetheart, Angela Tobler, who he dated for 3 years before they were married on June 19, 1991. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. He honorably served in the United States Army in Fort Wainwright Alaska, serving and defending in the 6th Infantry Division. brought home from his service. One of Kent's great talents was working with his hands. He loved metalwork and welding which allowed him to complete a full suit of armor, many swords, bbq smokers, and other creations. He not only made a bbq smoker from scratch, but he knew how to use it to its fullest potential. He was known by many for his great cooking and would often say "If you starve around here, it's your own fault!" Kent had an excellent work ethic and always believed in putting in an honest day's work. He spent many years working in various positions in the oil and gas fields for Cameron, Lone Wolf Wireline, and Anadarko. He served his family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers endlessly and was known to be a very selfless man. He instilled his dedication and value of hard work in his children and was very proud to watch them grow into adults. He loved nothing more than to watch each of them succeed in school and grow in their own ways. He adored his two granddaughters and was honored to be known by them as the "Best Papa in the Galaxy". Kent is survived by his wife Angela Tobler Bristol, his children Sara (Jake) Bell, Brenden Bristol, Katie Bristol, his two granddaughters Brielle and Hallie Bell, and his siblings Judy Keel, Cheryl "Sherry" (Bob) Slama, and Keith Bristol. He is preceded in death by his parents Bruce Wayne Bristol and Mildred Darlene Morrill Bristol, and his brothers Ricky and Tommy Bristol.
