Dr. Robert Whiting

Robert, also known as Bob, passed away in his Glendale, AZ home on December 26, 2020 at the age of 90. Robert was born to Hi-G and Florence (Whalen) Whiting in Minneapolis, MN. In 1930. Robert was predeceased by his parents, his brother Emmett Whiting, sisters Eleanor Snook and Marian Carson, sons Andrew Whiting, twin sons Timothy and Thomas Whiting, and first wife Lavonne (David) Whiting. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Christine (Mys) Whiting, son John Whiting (Susan) and seven grandchildren. Dr. Whiting received his D.C. degree in 1963 from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis (formerly known as Northwestern University of Chiropractic). Dr. Whiting had a successful practice in Burnsville, MN for many years, and later pursued his studies and started a radiology consulting practice. In 1985, he received his MPH degree from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health before taking the position as Dean of Clinical Affairs at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Whittier, CA. He was an avid follower of national and world politics and history, travel, and also enjoyed old movies. He had a special bond with his dog of 18 years. Animals gravitated to him. He once said when watching his companion animals surround him "they think I'm St. Francis." He will be remembered as a brilliant man with a kind heart.
