Eula Dodson ALEDO, Ill. - Eula J. Dodson, 86, of Aledo, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at Mercer County Nursing Home in Aledo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Aledo Cemetery. The Rev. Brent K. Phillips of the Aledo United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Dodson was born on March 27, 1913, in Snowville, Va., the daughter of William and Roxie Lester Simpkins. She married Charles C. Dodson on June 30, 1937, in Viola, Ill. He died Jan. 26, 1996. She was a member of the Aledo United Methodist Church. She was employed as a housekeeper for many area families and was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Ann Elliott of Aledo; a son, James Dodson and his wife, Connie, of Milan; two grandsons, Jeffrey Elliott of Eldridge, Ill. and Jay Elliott of Aledo; four great-grandchildren, Joseph and Breanna Elliott of Eldridge and Grant and Kathryn Elliott of Aledo; and a sister, Betty Gerard of Aledo.
