Myrtle Edith Reeves MUSCATINE, Iowa - Myrtle Edith Reeves, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at Unity Hospital in Muscatine. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine. The Rev. Ed Meyers will officiate. Pallbearers will be Don Turnbough, Mike Reeves, Randy Reeves, Harry Peak, Scott Reeves and Kevin Silberhorn. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the community room of the funeral home. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her memory. She was born to Ira and Myrtle Fender Greer on Dec. 3, 1922 in Aledo, Ill. She married Orville L. Reeves on Feb. 26, 1939, in Muscatine. She retired from H.J. Heinz Company in Muscatine. She enjoyed cooking, her grandchildren and playing cards. Survivors include two sons, Darrell and Dennis Reeves, both of Muscatine; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Willis Greer, Joy, Ill.; and one sister, Evelyn Cummings, of Mesa, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Gary, one granddaughter, Chris, and two brothers and two sisters. [more]
