John Reaney COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - John Charles Reaney, 47, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at his residence after a short illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Mr. Reaney was born May 6, 1952, in Iowa City, the son of Robert and Margaret Hanft Reaney. He graduated from Columbus Community High School and attended Wesleyan for a year. He worked as a welder and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. He was a past assistant Scout Master. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and a past member of the Jaycees. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Reaney of Iowa City; a sister, Ruth Reaney Cornick of Iowa City; and a nephew and niece, Jade and Kesha Cornick of Iowa City.
