Harley Nelson WINFIELD, Iowa - Harley W. Nelson, 83, of Winfield, died Wednesday, March 22, at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. The Rev. Todd Smith will officiate. Burial will be at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, family will meet friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. Mr. Nelson was born on Nov. 20, 1916, in Lenox, the son of Frank and Esther Becherer Nelson. He married Myrtha McMath on Nov. 29, 1938, in Washington. He graduated from Lenox High School. He moved to Winfield and has farmed the same farm since 1943. He was baptized and joined the Winfield First Presbyterian Church in 1943, where he was an elder and deacon. Survivors include his wife, Myrtha of Winfield; a daughter, Sandra J. Dennis of West Burlington; two sons, Richard M. Nelson of Davenport and Robert C.
