Kenneth Walsinger FORT MADISON, Iowa - Kenneth M. Walsinger, 70, of Fort Madison, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. The Rev. Jeff McPheron will officiate. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery with military rites by the Wapello VFW Glenn Allen Post 5166. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Trenton United Methodist Church. Mr. Walsinger was born June 29, 1929, in Iowa City, the son of Edgar and Ceclia Thompson Harl. He married Loretta M. Griffin in 1953. He graduated from Wapello High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from US West after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Trenton United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant, the Moose Lodge of Burlington, the American Quarter Horse Association and enjoyed showing horses for many years. Rippenkroeger; a step-sister, Leota Schaper of Columbus Junction; three step-brothers, Basil Harl of Waukegan, Ill., Lloyd Harl of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and Douglas Harl of Sandia, Texas; and a special friend of several years, Thelma Scarff of Trenton. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
