She was a fiber artist and a member of the Kishwaukee Valley Art League and the Haymarket Art Guild in Dixon.She was a member of Christ the Teacher Parish (Newman Center) in DeKalb. She was a special friend of Westminster Presbyterian Church in DeKalb, where she served as a member of the bell choir on several occasions. She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Wheeler of DeKalb; her daughter, Roxanne Warren and her husband, Alan, of Silvis, Ill; her grandson, Marcus Warren of Silvis; her mother, Margaret Furlong of Moline, Ill.; two brothers, Stanley Furlong of Rock Island, Ill. and Stephen Furlong and his wife, Betsy, of Rockville, Md.; her nieces and nephews, Erin, Katie, and Brian Furlong of Rockville, Md.; her stepchildren, Willow Davies of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. and Peter and Caleb Davies of Dekalb; and her former husband, John Rios of Moline. She was preceded in death by her father, James Furlong, and her late husband, Sgt. Maj. Fredrick Davies.
