Barbara Ruth Kloss, 65 year old resident of Rice, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice, MN with Father Tom Becker officiating. The burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Rice. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Rice, MN. Barbara Ruth Kloss was born April 13, 1951 to Ambrose and Martha (Psick) Gosiak. She attended school in Little Falls and graduated in 1969. She was united in marriage to Duane Kloss on May 29, 1972 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN.The couple made their home in Rice, MN, where she operated a chicken barn for Golden Plump for over 30 years. Barbara treasured her time spent with family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. Her daughters remember attending Mass every Sunday morning. After church they would stop at Janski Grocery to pick up eggs, bacon and bread. She would make the family bacon and eggs or BLTs after church. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Rice American Legion Auxiliary.
