Ellen Weiler WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Ellen Elizabeth Weiler, 91, of West Liberty, formerly of Fort Madison, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, in her daughter's home following an extended illness. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. She was born on March 10, 1909, in Palo, the daughter of Ezra and Carrie Quimby Wart. On June 4, 1950, she married William Weiler. He died May 24, 1986. She was a longtime member of the Santa Fe United Methodist Church in Fort Madison. She also attended the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church near West Liberty. Survivors include one daughter, Dolores Windus, West Liberty; one stepdaughter, Lona Thomas, Fort Madison; three stepsons, William Weiler, Fort Madison, Raliegh Weiler, Dunedin, Fla., and Gary Weiler, Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Irene Frendle, Liberty, Mo., and Mildred Morgan, Lone Tree; five granddaughters, Debbie, Sandy, Marla, Tracy and Brett; 10 great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; 14 step-grandchildren; and numerous step-...[more]
