ohn Kron RIVERSIDE, Iowa #45;- John H. Kron, 74, of Riverside, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City from an extended illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside. The Rev. Mark Swanson will officiate. Burial will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery with full military rites. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. A luncheon will follow at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. tonight at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Mr. Kron was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Riverside the son of Fred and Helen Deatsch Kron. He married Patricia Mae Stransky on Oct. 18, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post No. 6414, Volunteer Fire Fighter, all in Riverside. He enjoyed fishing, camping and was a loving dad who loved spending time with his family. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. owa City; three daughters, Barbara Rich and her husband, Leland, of Burlington, Ellen Aistrup and her husband, Larry, of Little Rock, Ark., and Elizabeth Schlenker and her husband, Rance, of Shueyville; 10 grandchildren, Annette, Angela, Kirk, Lee, Chad, Jenniffer, Cullen, Heidi, Jay and Thomas; two great-grandchildren Jaztin and Brena; a sister, Marjorie Robertson of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Patricia.
