Dorothy McConahay IOWA CITY, Iowa - Dorothy McConahay, 79, of Iowa City, formerly of the Winfield-Columbus Junction area, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, at the Iowa City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Iowa City. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be conducted from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society. Mrs. McConahay was born on April 19, 1921, in Albia, the daughter of Lloyd and Viola Callen Clark. She married Hollis McConahay on Feb. 14, 1941, in Altoona. They were residents of the Winfield-Columbus Junction area for 60 years. She worked as a sales clerk at Ross Dry Goods in Columbus Junction and as the bookkeeper for James Jewell and Duane Gipple, Crawfordsville veterinarians, and the Winfield Co-op. She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Nancy Cheney and her husband, Larry, of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Jim Larson of Iowa City and Kim Olson of Overland Park, Kan.; seven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Olmstead and her husband, Burl, of Yakima, Wash.; four brothers, Donald Clark and his wife, Arlene, of Winfield, Dwight Clark of Iowa City, Dave Clark and his wife, Sandy, of West Branch, and Dale Clark and his wife, Janet, of Coralville. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Brian McConahay.
