Keith R. Samuelson

Keith Robert Samuelson was born September 11, 1959, the son of Robert and Thelma (Lantz) Samuelson. He passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of fifty-four. Keith was born in Denison, Iowa and was baptized into the Christian faith. He grew up in the Dow City area and received his education in the Dow City Arion Schools, graduating with the class of 1977. During his high school years he was very competitive and participated in all sports, lettering in several of them. After receiving his education he went to work for Carlyle Memorials in Denison and Farmland Foods. He moved to Arizona where he worked for a meat packaging company until returning to Iowa in the late 1980s and began working for Clover Leaf Cold Storage in Sioux City. On June 19, 1993, Keith was united in marriage to Kelly Martin on the family farm in Mapleton, Iowa. Keith loved cleaning, shining and working on vehicles, especially his ‘67' Chevy truck, entering it in many car shows where he placed in several of them. Survivors include: his wife, Kelly three daughters, Katie, Kristi; and Sheri; one grandchild; and one sister, Jane and her husband, Mark; other relatives and friends.
