Robert J Jacoby

Robert John Jacoby was born March 17, 1946, the son of John and Elenora Jacoby. He passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in Denison, Iowa, at the age of sixty-seven. Bob was born on a farm near Harlan, Iowa. He received his early education in Constence, Nebraska, before moving to Iowa, where he continued his education in the Denison Community Schools. After completing his education, he worked at the Siouxland Scales in Sioux City and for area farmers before returning to work on the farm with his father. He worked in the trucking industry and drove for Malone Trucking, Farmland Foods and Les Brown Trucking before he bought his own truck and leased to Rex and Don, Inc. On July 30, 1984, Bob was united in marriage to Betty Jo Friedrichsen. The couple made their home in Vail, Iowa. In his leisure time, the hobbies he enjoyed included woodworking, tractors and motorcycles. From 1965 to 2012, Bob enjoyed going to Sturgis, South Dakota for the motorcycle rally.
