Dennis McKasson BURLINGTON, Iowa - Dennis J. McKasson, 40, of Burlington, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington. The Mass of Christian burial will be at at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The Rev. John Hyland will officiate. Burial will be at Burlington Memorial Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. on Thursday at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6- 8 p.m. A memorial has been established for his children, Jessica and Melissa. Mr. McKasson was born April 23, 1960, the son of Paul and Donna Mills McKasson. He married Barbara Taylor on Sept. 20, 1986. He was a graduate of Burlington Community High School in 1978 and received four years of apprenticeship training with Local No. 410. He was a carpenter for Carpenters Union Local No. 410 of Fort Madison. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter, and was a member of Flint River Bow Hunters Club and Heartland Regional Council of Carpenters. He was a loving husband and a devoted father.
