Sylinda Ann Hughes

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylinda Ann Hughes announce her passing on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at age 55 after a battle with ovarian cancer. She will be always remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was helping others. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, George and Janice Hughes; children: Alex (Alanna) Ridley and Brittney (Marcus) Adams; grandchildren: Mason Adams, Colt Ridley, and Lillian Adams; brother, Ed (Rhonda) Hughes; nieces, Brianne (Josh) Cherry and Jada (Justin) Watson; Euna Deverell; Pat Kilgore; as well as numerous relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Memorial Donations may be made in Sylinda's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Humane Society of Northwest Georgia, 1210 Veterans Dr, Dalton, GA 30721.
