Mildred Ann Poole

Mildred Ann "Mickie" Poole age 87 of Gillsville entered heaven Friday January 15, 2021 at her residence. Mickie was born February 9, 1933 in Gainesville to the late Joseph Hoyt & Bertha Mary Bell Merck. She was the Salutatorian for the 1950 class of Riverbend School. She was a charter member of Riverbend Baptist Church but was a current member of Harmony Hall Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Dannie Joe Poole; son, Ervin Clint Poole; grandson, Zachary Bryson; siblings, Joe Merck, Jim Merck, Larry Merck & Martha Wright. Survivors include, sons, Lamar Keith (Debra) Poole, Kelly Joe (Angela) Poole, Daniel Clay (Teresa) Poole & Mark Corey (Jennifer) Poole; daughters, Peggy (Danny) Smith, Patty (Tony) Cook, Nancy Allen & Mary (Allan) Carlyle; brothers, Vernon Merck, Johnny Merck, Douglas Merck & Richard Merck; 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives also survive.
