rley Ann, her husband Clarence Lee Junior and their (then) 5 children moved to San Diego, California in September 1967. She united with the Bayview Baptist Church, pastored by the late Rev. L.L. Henderson, where she served faithfully in the choir, Mission, BTU and Sunday School. Shirley Ann also served faithfully at the Greater Life Baptist Church, pastored by the late Rev. W.E. Manley, and where she was a founding member. With Pastor Manley's blessing, Shirley Ann left Greater Life in October 1992 to assist Pastor Edward B. Johnson--who grew up with her children--in the nurturing of a new church in Mira Mesa, California. Shirley Ann returned to Greater Life in January 2004. Shirley Ann continued her pursuit of higher learning in the early 1970's, receiving an A.A. degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education from San Diego City College in June 1972. She received a B.A. Degree in Vocational Education from San Diego State University ("SDSU") in May 1979 and a certification as a Human Resource Developer from SDSU Extended Studies in October 1985. Shirley Ann was a foster parent, an advocate for children and families, a child care center director and a teacher of courses in child development and early childhood education in the Long Beach Community College District and in San Diego at Mesa College, San Diego City College and the Educational Cultural Complex. She will be remembered for the energy, passion and love she brought to the education and childcare communities. Shirley Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lee Junior, her daughter Sheryl Lee Ann Collins, her son John Kevin Junior, and her parents--Margaret and Rev. Lamark Williamson. Shirley leaves to cherish fond memories four children--Jirus David Junior, Joel Lamont Bond, James Edward Bond, Jr. and Margaret Venessa Jackson. Shirley Ann's well-lived life will be well-remembered by her son-and daughters-in-law Herman Collins, Lorrie Junior and Dana Bond, as well as by her grandchildren, Shenessa Jackson-Franklin, Nickolos Jackson, Kimberly Bond, Kenneth Junior, Pete Cornejo, Cecilia Gonzales, Dannai Toney-Bond, Jazman Bond, Joel Bond II, Jade Bond, Kanisha Collins-Jones, Saadia Collins, Symone Collins, Sheree Collins, Michael McMillen and Justin McMillen. Additionally, Shirley Ann's fruitful life will also be lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren Aundrea, Joshua, Aria, Nikayla, Davien, Jrew, Nova and Noelle, along with her cousins and cherished sister-friends, Juanita, Raymond, Rufus, Theresa, Rose ("Aunt Rosie") Davis and Brenda ("Ma Bren") Chambers.
