Mrs. Leslie Sandra Nicholls Thompson, 68, of Advance, died Sunday, January 17, 2021, at her home. She was born September 11, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY. Leslie attended Clara Barton High School where she learned about sewing and the nursing profession. She married Barry Thompson on March 25,1972, and had one daughter, Kimberly in 1975. Leslie went on to work in homecare where she became a home care aide for over 10 years. She loved to listen to music, swim, sew and cook: she was famous for her peas and rice, fish cakes and many other dishes. Leslie pastime was to watch Hallmark Channel TV, her favorite shows were the Christmas shows. Every Christmas, she loved to decorate the house, inside and outside, making sure it was good and bright. After decorating, Leslie loved to watch the people walk by and see their smiles. In 2014, Leslie and Barry moved to North Carolina where she lived for the next seven. During the last seven years she made new friends (Staff and the Participants) at Carolina Senior Care.
