Kenneth Kemper MUSCATINE, Iowa - Kenneth E. Kemper, 79, of Muscatine, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at the Muscatine Care Center following an extended illness. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Dwight Mansfield will officiate. Pallbearers are Dale Harris, Ronnie Soenksen, Jim Dipple, Dennis Kemper, Larry Kemper, Gary Kemper and Lindy Woods. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery with military rites conducted by the combined units of the VFW Post 1545 and the American Legion Post 27. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established in his memory. Mr. Kemper was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Muscatine, the son of Ellen Scott Kemper. He married Lois Pace May 5, 1962, in Muscatine. He served in the U.S. Army-Air Corp during World War II as a sheet metal mechanic. He farmed in the Muscatine area, worked on highway road construction and also worked for International Harvester, retiring in 1984.
