Kenneth Grouwinkel WAPELLO, Iowa #45;- Kenneth Dean Grouwinkel, 67, of Wapello died June 30, 2001, at his home. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. The Rev. Harlan Winter will officiate. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery. Visitation is after noon Monday, with family present 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to benefit various charitable organizations. Mr. Grouwinkel was born June 4, 1934, in Souel, the son of Paul and Josephine Barnes Grouwinkel. He married Edith Nehring June 24, 1962, in Fort Madison. He was a farmer and then a machine operator in box production at IBP in Columbus Junction. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wapello. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was an umpire for baseball and softball for various youth leagues for many years. He kept busy caring for his flowers and garden and feeding the birds and squirrels. He loved his family, especially his only granddaughter, Cassandra.
