Luella Beranek MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Luella G. Beranek, 80, of Muscatine died Saturday June 30, 2001, at Lutheran Homes. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. John Gallagher will officiate. Pallbearers are Jeff Beranek, Justin Johnson, Troy Fridley, Joe Proek, Patrick Gingerich and Bob Jenn. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Mathias Catholic Church or to Lutheran Homes. Mrs. Beranek was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Riverside, the daughter of Jerome and Genevieve Knebel Droll. She married Arthur E. Beranek June 28, 1941, in Riverside. She was a member of the St. Mathias Catholic Church and the Ladies of the Moose. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Drake of Muscatine; a son, Dennis Beranek and his wife, Jewell, of Milan Ill.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ivo Droll of Colorado, Walter Droll of Stanwood and Reno Droll of Tipton; and two sisters, Evelyn Schnoebelen and Veva Jenn, both of Hills. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother; and a sister. [more]
