Rheta Southwick RIVERSIDE, Iowa #45;- Rheta Frances Southwick, 81, of Riverside died Monday, July 16, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Riverside United Methodist Church. The Rev. Sung Joon Park will officiate. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside. A memorial has been established in her name. Mrs. Southwick was born July 10, 1920, in North Liberty, the daughter of Arthur and Ethel Buchwalter Herring. She married Dale W. Southwick in 1944 in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1987. As a life resident of Riverside, she was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church and had been a beautician in the community for more than 50 years. She was owner and operator of Rheta's Beauty Saalon. She was a gardener and loved her children.
