Robert James SAINT AUGUSTINE, Ill. #45;- Robert D. James, 64, of Saint Augustine died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at his home. Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, Mo. The Rev. Jim Robinson will officiate. Military rites will be given by Disabled American Veterans No. 48, American Legion Post No. 20 and VFW Post No. 2508 of Kirksville. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the Hincliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the VA Medical Center Volunteer Services in Iowa City. Mr. James was born Sept. 25, 1936, in Hurdland, Mo., the son of Orville E. and Edna W. McClay James. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was a Private stationed in Germany. He worked for the former Alton Box Company, Jefferson-Smurfit Company, in Galesburg for several years and then was a roofer for Templeton Roofing in Galesburg. He lived in Fort Madison for many years before moving to the Galesburg area in 1980. Survivors include his mother, Edna W.
