Joseph Demko DAVENPORT, Iowa #45;- Joseph Demko, 81, of Davenport died Friday, July 20, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center West Campus in Davenport. Services were today at the All Faith Chapel of the Halligan-McCabe - DeVries Funeral Home. Burial was at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mr. Demko was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Europe, the son of Theodore and Katerina Demko. He married Gertrude Tomsoffer in 1945. He worked as a machine operator for Borden's and later for J.I. Case . He was a member St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he was a 'Golden Eagle.' Survivors include two daughters, Helga Sade of Davenport, and Kathleen Ellison of Montpelier; a son, Werner of Davenport; five grandchilren; and three great grandchildren. [more]
