FLORENCE KRAMER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Florence M. Kramer, 79, of 609 W Eight St., died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mathias Church, 215 W Eighth St. The Rev. Rob Lathrop will officiate. Pallbearers will be Vernon McKim, Troy McKim, Corp. Wesley J. Howard, Gunnery Sgt. Darrell Bell and Kevin McCormick. Honorary Bearers will be Michelle Miller, Kelly McKim, Melissa Bell, Denise McCormick and Erica Kramer. Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Kramer was born on Dec. 16, 1921, in Bancroft, the daughter of Anthony and Josephine Lampe Lappe. She married Leo Andrew Kramer on June 18, 1947, in Bancroft. She was a member of the Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish. She worked in Denver, Colorado, as a technical aide from 1966 to 1968, when the family moved to Muscatine. She then worked at Heinz for 12 years retiring in 1984. children. Survivors include two sons, James Kramer of Muscatine and John A. Kramer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters, Nancy Howard and her husband, Robert, of Muscatine and Evelyn McCormick of Muscatine; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Lappe of Wesley; three sisters, Marie Clapsaddle, Loretta Kramer of Algona, and Irene May of Englewood, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo in 1984, four brothers and two sisters.
