Alice Bieri ILLINOIS CITY, Ill. #45;- Alice 'Mae' Bieri, 77, of Illinois City died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Muscatine Care Center in Muscatine. Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Bob Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Drury-Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine. A memorial has been established for the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church Women's Association. Mrs. Bieri was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Taylor Ridge, Ill., the daughter of Merle Lavern and Inez Bonynge Lewis. She married Merle F. Bieri June 10, 1944, in Buffalo Prairie, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a graduate of the Aledo High School. She was a member of the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church, in which she was a past member of the women's group, and a past member of the Eastern Star. She and her husband were active in the New Windsor Drill Team and the Illinois City Saddle Club. She and her husband were lifetime residents and farmers in the Drury Township, Ill. area.
