Adelaide Lynch TIPTON, Iowa #45;- Adelaide Lucille Lynch, 85, of Tipton died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, at Mechanicsville Nursing amp; Rehab Center from a declining illness. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. The Rev. David Lorenzen will officiate. Pallbearers are Brad Peck, Richard Peck, Galen Sievers, Dale Lynch, Kevin Kofron, and John Lynch. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Branch. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Tipton Elementary for playground equipment. Mrs. Lynch was born May 25, 1916, in Tipton, the daughter of Milo and Marjorie Dodge Randa. She married Daniel 'John' Lynch Aug. 15, 1949. He preceded her in death April 5, 1982. She was a 1934 graduate of Tipton High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She taught grade school English and remedial reading for 43 years, with 34 years in Tipton. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Tipton, Sweet Adelines, Kirkwood Area Council on Aging, and various Bridge clubs.
