Colleen Whitehall ALEDO, Ill. #45;- Colleen E. Whitehall, 68, of Aledo died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at her home. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. The Rev. Charles A. Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Whitehall was born on Sept. 11, 1933, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Bennett and Ella Davis West. She married Donald L. Whitehall on May 5, 1956, near Hamlet. She graduated from Muscatine High School. She was employed in the Activities Department at the Mercer County Nursing Home, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Mercer County Sheriff Department's LEAP program and enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading and yard sales. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Robin Vaughn and her husband, Joseph, of Aledo; three sons, Dwight Whitehall and his wife, Ruth Ann, and Bruce Whitehall and his wife, Kim, all of Aledo, and Brian Whitehall of Galesburg, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Lee Olson of Muscatine; and four brothers, Robert West of Tucson, Burton and Edgar West, both of M...[more]
