Everett Dellitt ALEDO, Ill. #45;- Everett E. Dellitt, 72, of Aledo died on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at the Mercer County Hospital in Aledo. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. The Rev. G. J. Plunkett will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date in the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with 8 p.m. Masonic services conducted by the Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge No. 679. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Veterans Hospital in Knoxville, or Mercer County Veterans Assistance Van. Mr. Dellitt was born on Oct. 22, 1929, in Perryton Township, Ill., the son of Roy and Hazel Sowder Dellitt. He married Shirley Mack on Aug. 13, 1955, in Aledo. He attended the Marston and Aledo schools. He was foreman for C. Iber and Sons Construction Co. and then owned and operated the Grog Shop in Aledo for 18 years, retiring in 1993. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the National Guard, the Mercer County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1571 and the Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge No. 679. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steve Dellitt and his wife, Karen, of New Boston, Ed Dellitt and his wife, Lori, and Brian Dellitt, all of Aledo; three grandchildren, Tammy Bennett and Tosha Dellitt, both of Alexis, Ill., and Candace Dellitt of Aledo; a great-granddaughter, Caitlin Bennett of Alexis; and a sister, Shirley Sproston of Aledo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dan; two sisters; and four brothers.
