Viola Muesing CLARENCE, Iowa #45;- Viola Sophie Muesing, 80, of rural Clarence died on Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Mechanicsville Nursing amp; Rehab Center in Mechanicsville due to complications of cancer. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. The Rev. David Mears will officiate. Burial will be at Van Home Cemetery in Lowden. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Muesing was born on Oct. 17, 1921, in Cedar County, the daughter of Charles and Sophie Brinkmann Freese. She married Marvin C. Muesing on Aug. 25, 1946, in Clarence. She attended Clarence schools. She was a nurses' aide at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton for 27 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Clarence. She loved working on the farm and at the nursing home. She enjoyed her chickens, cooking, gardening and canning.
