Letha Marshall LA PORTE CITY, Iowa #45;- Letha M. Marshall, 86, of 220 Valley Drive, Apartment 6C in La Porte City, formerly of Muscatine, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at her home from natural causes. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Marshall was born on Dec. 31, 1914, in Decatur, the daughter of Charles and Jessie Hutchcroft McCann. She married Oley William Marshall on Aug. 7, 1937, in Unionville, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1988. She worked most of her life as a presser in dry cleaning. She loved to do crossword puzzles and play Yahtze. Survivors include a son, Oley Marshall Jr. of Waterloo; a daughter, Joyce M. Weich of La Porte City; three grandchildren, Gary, Larry and Tracie Halleck; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and three brothers. [more]
